I actually already bought this book or the high school library were I am the librarian so I am pleased that this was a good choice. First of all I love the cover. It is colorful and catches the viewers attention. The cover is artistic and yet very simple. The cover really grabbed my notice and was the main reason I decided to purchase it (it also good reviews so I didn't just base the purchase on the cover but covers matter to teens). The writing is beautiful. It is lyrical in the way the best fantasies are lyrical. I enjoyed the images that the words created. I would not call the world original exactly but the writing made this setting fresh and new. I am pleased I bought this for the library and may buy a copy for myself.
