Reading this preview took me into a new world. I love the blend of a an almost dystopian theme with a twist on a fairytale kingdom. I would be very interested to see how the story develops and can easily see myself recommending this books to middle & high school students. I am most interested in how the 3 kingdoms come into play, and as to the girls powers to talk to animals being a “lower class” talent. This makes me wonder what else this world will have in store for me as I delve deeper into the text. Given the chance this is definitely a book that I would say has the potential to grab a readers attention and leave them wanting even more. This series sounds like one that could be produced as a movie!!
