This was a short First Look excerpt compared to others. Once again my biggest pet peeve has reared it's ugly head - first person point of view. I try not to be too critical when it comes to POV but it can make or break a story for me. I do understand that first person POV is pivotal to this story, though. So far, I'm not wholly impressed. The writing or premise didn't jump out as anything extraordinary.
