Unable to quit reading...

You know how people always talk about being unable to look away from a car wreck? That's kind of how I felt reading the preview of this memoir. As an adult, I am horrified by what Adrienne's mother made her take part in. Even more horrifying is the fact that this is a memoir, and not a work of fiction. Yet, I want to keep reading. I want to understand what happened with Adrienne's mother to first, engage in the affair, and second, involve her teenager daughter. I have worked with enough adolescents and teens to understand why Adrienne wanted to be involved in her mother's drama, but it is hard to fathom the mother's reasons. I am curious enough to keep reading and discover what the story holds.
