I was only able to get an excerpt of the book, a few chapters, but that's all I needed to know that this book is incredible and I will definitely be pre-ordering this book.

The whole time I was reading it, my heart was racing. Nothing nefarious or truly bad had happened, but there is a sense of dread in the tone of the book. Maybe not dread per say, but just something. As a woman, my teenage self was able to truly connect with Adrienne and all her teenage angst and wide-eyed view of the world. The fact that her mother picks her as her confidant to such a deep secret says a lot! The writing is excellent, with enough detail to satisfy the most curious reader, but not to the point where you find yourself skimming certain parts.

"Wild Game" by Adrienne Brodeur is a memoir that doesn't come along too often, but when it does, I am so grateful for it reminds me just exactly why I love to read so much. The preview I was able to read has stayed with me long after I was done reading it and I can't wait to get me hands on the whole book. The tone of this book let's the reader know that it's gonna be a bumpy ride, and once your done, you'll say "Again!!".
