I will be the first to say that I am not a typical non-fiction/biography fan. I will occasionally read them when Book of the Month Club includes them in my choices but I won’t ever seek them out. So, when Wild Game became a choice for me I decided to give it a chance. The synopsis of the book sounded extremely intriguing and I was very interested. Being a mother it was hard to read at times the way the mother was so incredibly selfish and the situations that she put her daughter in. She did not have a normal childhood and it bothered me. That is the only reason I gave it three stars and not five. Her writing style and dialect is five star material! It wouldn’t be story worth reading if it didn’t elicit some emotions though!
