I was captivated by the story. By “Rennie” being woken up at 14 and the spiral that took place after that. I could not wait for the next piece of the story and to see where it would go.
I had no expectations going in and I think that helped me follow the flow of the story. I typically don’t like stories that span decades, but Wild Game was different.
I also founding myself wanting to taste all the recipes being made even though I’m not usually a “game” eater. I wish the cookbook had come out and I had access to the different techniques.
Overall I would recommend to readers who enjoy non-fiction, or liked books like Normal People, or Ask Again, Yes which span decades to tell their familial story.
