I wish I'd had this book 20 years ago. Dr. Marks introduction to the many types of anxiety and the various ways to treat it is well-organized, easy to read, full of helpful information, and enlightening. I was afraid I'd get bogged down in a lot of medical terminology, but I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to digest the information. I learned a lot. The case studies and examples were relevant and relatable. Many medications, prescription and over the counter are discussed in full. I plan to try one of the herbal supplements after discussing with my physician. I also liked the chapters with all sorts of tools/self-help. I was not familiar with many of these and will be trying several to help ease my anxiety. Appendix B, which is list of which tools to use in different situations will be very helpful as well. If you or someone you love suffers from anxiety, this book can help!
