This is a book that I feel will be helpful to myself and many other people. The author works in the field of psychiatry and is qualified to write about the subject. I learned a lot just from the first few pages, like the role Default-Mode Network
(DMN) plays. It is important to understand how the brain works, and this book does not gloss over the technical aspects of anxiety. I also like that it appears to cover prescription treatments, psychotherapy, and alternative therapies. There is not a single option that will work for everyone, and I distrust doctors who adhere to only one path. Despite the technical nature of this book, it does not seem hard to understand. Breaking things down into headings and subheadings adds clarity. Overall this seems like a really good book that addresses a broad range of causes, issues, and treatments relating to anxiety.
