The cover of the book looked very intense and I could kind of tell that this might not be a book for me. After reading the excerpt, the author did a great job with the writing as it flowed really well and you pretty much started off in the action instead of a backstory. While I enjoyed the writing, I could tell that it was a bit too intense for me to really enjoy. I am a mood reader, so I'm not sure if I'd like it at the moment, but maybe another time. I do think this would be a good book to read.
