While I enjoyed this first look, I have no knowledge of William Blake’s work and after reading some Goodreads reviews, it’s obvious that this hinders readers from enjoying the book. I noticed I had the same problem I have with most literary fiction where I just can’t connect to characters because they’re not humanized. While I liked the style of writing, it did feel a bit pretentious which renders this a no from me.
