Hard to jump into

I like the premise and want to like this book. It took me a couple tries of reading the first few paragraphs before I could get into the plot.

I believe that after a few chapters I would get sucked into the plot. I think this book has the capability to be a great page-turner.

I'm not the biggest fan of the cover art or title. At first glance I would not assume this is a murder-mystery novel, but something that is incredibly religious
