This book was great! The story is a memoir of doggy friendship that is endured as well as loyalty and love. This book is also about truly being there for a person in need and the companionship that follows. What I really love was how heart-tugging the book was and how I can could from laughing to crying in an instant.
As an animal person, I couldn’t put it down! I was captivated by how quickly the Bull Terriers went from strangers to best friends. Even though the cover looks like it would be a light/quick read, there were some deep and raw parts (terminal illness).
The way Martha writes brings all the characters straight to life. I don’t read much memoirs, but this one really got me and I enjoyed it a lot.
