Heartfelt Story About Dogs, Friendship, and New York

Margaret Teichner was a news correspondent for CBS and writes how Harry and his owner, a bull terrier, came to be part of her family. I love how Margaret talked about going to the Farmer's Market every Sunday with Minnie and Goose and what New York was like in those quiet hours. Goose passes away. Being part of a community is a beautiful experience and even in a city as big as New York Margaret and Minnie seem to find theirs. By chance a mutual friend introduces Margaret and Carol. Carol is Harry's owner who is dying of terminal cancer and is looking to find a good home for Harry. I really liked the friendship that blossomed between Carol and Margaret despite Carol's difficult circumstances. This feel good book will make you laugh and cry. Margaret's writing is perfect for telling this story and she adds humor and love to her writing to give the novel personality. Five Stars.
