I have to say; when I first got this book I wasn’t quite sure if I was going to love it. I liked that it included dogs (clearly I’m a dog person), but everything else about it sounded a little boring. My judgement was completely wrong. This book took me on an emotional roller coaster and I felt as if I was feeling all of the ups and downs right alongside Martha. This book was a touching book that showcased true friendship and sacrificing yourself for others.

I never thought that I could truly know an animal without actually meeting them. But wow, this book made me feel as if I truly knew Harry and Minnie. And what a pair they are! These two dogs sound like the most stubborn yet totally loving dogs around. And while yes, this book is about dogs, it’s also about so much more. We get introduced to Carol fairly early on and it is clear that this book is more about the immediate friendship between Martha and Carol and their journey together that was cut too short. This book has everything. It’s humorous, it’s happy, and it’s sad.

I highly suggest checking this book out if you’re looking for something new to read!
