I loved this book way more than I thought I was going to! I went into it thinking it was going to be such a sad story and I usually purposely avoid books that I think may make me cry. Well WHEN HARRY MET MINNIE is so much more than a sad book. It’s a story of friendship, the love we have for our pets, and how chance encounters can change our lives forever.
I found Martha Teichner’s writing to be very easy to read and enjoy. Woven throughout the book are many shorter stories from her life that were interesting and often times quite funny.
By the end of the book I felt as though I knew Carol, Minnie, and Harry, and I think Teichner does an absolutely amazing job of telling her friend’s beautiful and heartbreaking story. Readers who enjoy books full of heart and emotion will devour this memoir. I hope you will give it a read!
