As a fellow pet owner (mostly cats) I love the idea of being apart of a small community of other pet owners in town. New York is the most fitting settings for this kind of story too. A woman takes on an elderly dog from the friend of one of the people in her community. The owner of Harry is dying from cancer after doing through issues in 9/11. The story of the owners becoming friends as well as the pets that brought them together is just wonderful!
