When Harry Met Minnie is a novel for dog lovers. More specifically, those that feel strongly about adoption and rescue programs - as that is really the core of the entire piece of work.
It's wonderful, of course, but it does take an emotional toll. I can already tell that much. Realistically, any true (or fictional, really) story about animals and rescues tends to do that. At least, it does for me.
