I think that this book would be a dog lovers dream. You can clearly tell that this author love dogs and thinks of them as humans. I really like how descriptive the author is. I can picture everything clearly and it’s easy to understand. It’s not my favorite book, simply because I am not a dog person but even with that being said, it was pretty interesting to learn how being at the right place at the right time changed her life. This whole situation of how she got the dog truly seam like a story and not real life. It very touching to hear how Carol loved her dog so much even when she was dying. I also think that for a lot of people this book will also be very sad, because it is so hard to lose a pet. So, I think this could be a good book for a lot of people but for me just not my type of story, but that has nothing to do with the author because she did a great job setting the story up.
The cover fits the book very well, having the NYC background and the star of the book Harry and Minnie but for me it looks too fake. Like you can tell those dogs were edited in and it’s just not the type of design I prefer in covers.
