What a descriptive and well written excerpt. I have been tracking this book for about a year, with the release date having been changed many times. Martha is a wonderfully descriptive and engaging writer.
For those who know her neighborhood and surrounding areas, it is fun to be on the dog walks with her because her writing is strong enough that you know the landmarks and people she is describing. And if you don't know NYC, or her neighborhood, prepare to be transported because the writing is so good, you'll feel as though you visiting.
I'm a tough nut and it takes a lot for a book or movie to make me cry. In the (too short) 25 pages, I cried at least three times, and giggled double that at least. This book is truly at the top of my To Read list and the release day can't come soon enough!
