The descriptions of New York City immediately draw me into this story. The writing is illustrative and engaging. I was sucked into the story based on the setting, and the way Teichner describes her relationship with her dog, and her dogs relationship with vendors at the market. It's clear that her depictions of her story through dogs will be powerful and moving.
