This one hit me very hard. I had to put a pet to sleep a few months ago and even now the emotion I feel about it is often very raw. The author tells her story in a very relatable way, and does an excellent job of really capturing the backdrop of the city and the environment they are in. This isn't my normal preference of read, but I enjoyed the first look much more than I thought I would.
