This is truly one of the most stunning, mesmerizing, and heart-wrenching books I have ever read!! The writing is lyrical and profound, the plot is intense and moving, and the characters have incredible depth. As implied by the title, the author has managed to create a book that shines with an astonishing light despite the horrifying events contained within. The atmospheric sense of dread makes for a compulsive read but it’s the characters of Jack and Ava that really left me entranced. There is no way to accurately capture the immense beauty contained in this book without spoiling it. All I can say is prepare for an emotional journey that will leave you breathless.
