I actually previously read a preview of this on another site, but it was so engaging and interesting, I wanted to leave a mini review on here! The writing is really what has me hooked here. The author does such an amazing job of utilizing vivid imagery and diction, in such a way that it truly draws the reader into the moody and atmospheric tone and setting that exists inside of this novel. There is also a darkness that really permeated off the page in this preview of the book, one that I didn’t see coming. The cover of this novel is definitely what initially drew me in and made me curious to want to read it, but I honestly thought it would feel a bit more whimsical. Instead, I found a beautiful prose that swept me away and made me feel the bitter cold of the snow along with the protagonist. I am hopeful to gain access to this title on another site soon, since the giveaway is already over here. But, if not, I will have to pick it up on my own!
