The book follows the hardships of two young brothers after their mother commits suicide. Their father is in prison. They are left completely alone with a few dollars to their name. In order to survive, they find themselves roped back into the criminal past of their father and are left fighting for their lives. On top of everything, the one friend that reaches out to help them ends up being the catalyst for even more trouble.
This book is shocking right from the beginning. It truly is a “just one more chapter” type of read. In retrospect, the way that the story unravels actually reminds me of Ozark in the sense that something is always happening, the boys were constantly on the run, and every turn of events is jaw dropping. I can’t believe this is @coryanderwrites ‘s debut novel! On top of everything, this book is absolutely beautiful! Hands down a 5/5⭐️ read.
This book skyrocketed right up to my favorites and I think everyone should add this to their TBR once it’s published on 4/6
