This is a beautiful, almost lyrical, novel that shows the struggles of two brothers avoiding being separated by the system. There is a part that is not yet clear at the beginning of the chapters who is connected to Jack and propels the reader's curiosity to discover what will happen to the brothers and who else is part of this story and watching out for Jack. I was drawn in by the book cover, but it doesn't fit the tone or theme that I get when I read the novel, so I am curious how they will come to relate.
