I thought this was a well-written start to a YA thriller. The situation is bleak, and I immediately felt connected to Jack and Matty. I wanted badly for someone to help the two of them, and was invested in what they might do next. However I didn't like the little first person chapter openers from Ava, as they felt a little cheesy and dramatic. I'm not entering as ultimately this is not my type of story, but this has the potential to be a really good read.
