First off, the cover is beautiful, and so is the interior art. The artist did a really great job. I was interested in the book mainly because of the cover, before the story drew me in. the story is very gritty and real. I wasn't expecting to read about a suicide and the cover-up of the suicide within the first chapter. I like the dynamic between Jack and his brother. I hope that Jack can save his brother from the knowledge of his mother's suicide. So far, Ava seems sort of unlikeable as a character. I hope that Ava and Jack can learn to trust each other and develop a friendship later on. I can't wait to continue reading and find out what happens with Jack and how he deals with his mother.
