The cover was really pretty, but the story seems very bleak.

The cover is very pretty, I loved the blue with the shapes almost hidden. The beginning seemed really bleak, how are these two boys going to survive. I really liked how we have the girl telling us the story from her perspective at the end, while seeing the beginning of the story from Jack's point of view. I almost bailed because that beginning was so brutal, but it was good to have a typical high school scene after. If people don't DNF this after the first two chapters, then they may get sucked into the more YA story line.
