I know there are recommendations for how to show a suicide in a TV show or a movie to be less triggering, and I don't know if there are guidelines for books, but I feel like this book would fail that test.

We open on Jack coming home from school to find his mother has hung herself and left him alone with himself and his younger brother, Matty. It's a very graphic scene and I really hope this is a book that has trigger warnings in the front because oh my god!

The introduction does show the brotherly relationship and how they don't want to be separated by child services.
