Based on the synopsis, What Beauty There Is sounds like the sort of novel I would enjoy. I love mysteries and thrillers, so why wouldn't I love What Beauty There Is? Well, I really hate. Sentence fragments. Which this book. Has a lot of. Isn't it jarring. To read something like this? Anyway, to the cover: I have seen that most of the other people who wrote First Impressions seem to like the cover of What Beauty There Is, but I am not that big a fan of it. I can definitely see how someone else might like the cover, but it is just not my personal taste.
