This book needs to come with strong content warnings/trigger warnings. The opening scene is a very explicit one of a child finding a parent after the parent dies by suicide, and I was really not emotionally prepared to read such a scene. I would not have chosen to read this First Look if I had known that would be included; or maybe I would have, but I would have been more prepared. Unfortunately I cannot provide more of a First Impression because I had to stop reading there. I'm disappointed in BookishFirst and the publisher for not including trigger warnings here.
