This excerpt of What Beauty There Is is mysterious, chilling, and sad. The writing is really lovely, although I felt a little too clueless and confused. I'm sure the rest of the book will bring clarity though and I'm curious to learn more. The cover is rather haunting, and feels like a good match for the book.
