This book doesn't feel like young adult. At all. It starts off real dark with a suicide that's very painful to read. However, somehow, this worked for me. I think I've been more or less tired of the similar-ness of Young Adult books and so this was refreshingly different, right from the start. The writing is beautiful, as is the cover. Definitely a book I'm looking forward to reading.
