Initially, I was drawn first to the gorgeous cover. I was thinking that it would make a beautiful hardcover. The description was actually quite surprising to me. I didn’t think that the cover really sparked that connection in my mind to that type of story. Regardless, after reading the except, I’m left with wanting to connect the dots between the title, the imagery throughout (chapter headings and cover), and the storyline. I think the writing style is modern and sleek, not too fluffy but not stilted or boring. All in all, a potential good read with a decent unique storyline it seems.
