As the story opens, the reader is drawn into the world of Jack, Matty and Ava. Written sparingly, yet with incredibly poignant detail, the reader is compelled to read more and more as this story of survival of two young people becomes intertwined with the mysterious life of Ava. A wonderfully written novel.
