This is a true crime story, this genre probably appeals to many but it’s not something that I read. I’m a wimp and not into scary, violent or gory. So I’ve never picked anything true crime up before. This was definitely an interesting excerpt though. It pulled me into the story despite my personal preferences bring different.
This is about Mary Yoder, a normal woman working with her husband Bill at their family business. They are a happy couple and planning the first big vacation they ever have taken. They’re debating selling their business and retiring. But one day Mary comes home very sick. She’s vomiting etc and gets checked into the hospital, they can’t save her. Her employee Katie might be suspicious as she works in the office and knows Mary’s routine, knows that she drinks the same protein shake all the time.
