I find the idea that Kaitlyn Conley could be so vengeful and duplicitous over a break up absolutely shocking. This book actually leaves me with more questions than answers. Not because it isn’t thorough in its coverage of Mary Yoder’s murder, but because I’m just not convinced that all the facts are known. I’m torn between believing Kaitlyn deserves her fate and disbelieving she could possibly be as evil as some people made her out to be. While I generally hate the phrase “a woman scorned...” I do think a lot of Kaitlyn’s behavior was her lashing out at feeling slighted. The horror is far she apparently took it. However, I’m not entirely sure Adam has ever been totally upfront about his behavior and how it contributed to this tragedy. And I’m left with many questions about Bill as well. I honestly wish there was a way to compel the truth from everyone involved so we could all be certain Mary really got justice.
