Wow! I am not a normal reader of true crime, but I do have some experience with the genre of true crime from listening to podcasts of true crime stories. (If that counts). This story definitely had me hooked throughout the book, and I found myself researching more about the story after the book. The book did a wonderful job with keeping the reader on their toes and building suspense, while not allowing the twists and turns to become predictable.

I am a fan of the writing, although it is hard for me to give an accurate description of the writing compared to other books in the true crime genre as I do not have an adequate amount of experience with the genre. Overall, I would definitely reccomend for readers who are new to the true crime genre like myself! The writing is easy to follow, so great for newbies.

The only negative thing I could say is about the cover design. If I am being honest, I wouldn't decide to pick up the book from seeing it in a bookstore, but maybe that's because I'm used to magical and whimsical fantasy covers and cute, cartoony contemporary romance covers.
