Believe it or not, I’ve never read any true crime before and this was the only nonfiction that I read the entire year. 🙈 After reading this book, I’m definitely changing that in the new year!
Mary Yoder was a beloved member of her community. She ran a chiropractic office with her husband and they were looking forward to an upcoming, well deserved vacation. However, one evening Mary comes home very sick. The next morning, her husband takes her to the ER. A little over 24 hours later, Mary is dead.
I was totally engrossed in this investigation. The author does an amazing job of putting all the facts together and presenting the evidence to give a clear picture of motive and opportunity. There were times I was so appalled, I had to put the book down and discuss it with my husband. I’m sure he’s tired of hearing about it. 😆
Perfect for fans of true crime, or if you’re new to the genre and looking for something interesting to get you started. Of course I had to google this case as I was reading and there are actually appeals going on for it right now! I’m definitely going to be tracking this case to see what happens next.
