Wow I can’t even express words to that ending of the first impression. I already feel so invested in the characters and their life. You can tell the author did a wonderful job making sure this story accurately displays what the life of the people were before and the events leading up to Mary dying. It is expressed in great detail. You know the exact chronological order of events. The story is almost written in a form of one of those crime shows on TV. You have both ends, the facts of the events and the personal expressions of the characters. There are many quotes in the story of Mary’s husband. I love that added touch, because reading his words makes it even more real and impactful.
This real-life story sounds very interesting. A normal family’s life changes within a moment and it is clearly expressed. I can tell this would be a novel I stay up to midnight reading because I just need one more chapter, one more page, one more word. I am hooked and that is hard for me to find in a book. I will definitely read this book. It even pains me that I must wait for it to be released. Can’t wait to continue with this impelling story.

The cover is breath taking. I am not sure how it relates to the story, yet, but it is an unforgettable cover. The deep color of purple that tints all of the colors in the cover allows for it to be colorful but not too much. I love having a scene of nature in a cover and I the simple but impactful details of the tree’s branches twisting around the letters in the cover adds another wonderful touch.
