As soon as I read the blurb, I wanted this book. Sadly, the first few chapters changed my opinion quite a bit. They were almost too descriptive, especially of things that appeared to have no impact on the story. The writing felt super choppy, and all of the added quotes didn’t help. I almost wish this would be written like a fiction novel, instead of trying to do something similar to a documentary. While I can see why some people are going to love this, the writing style is just not my thing.
