This true crime mystery sucked me in from the beginning. There are no wasted words. The "characters" are introduced as are the workings of their daily life. When Mary gets sick, you know it's bad. You can feel Bill's concerns coming through the page and feel his agony at his wife dying.

I can't wait to read this book and see how the case unfolds and figure out how the police determined who would poison a, by all accounts, good woman. I know that the usual maxim is "it's always the husband," but this book doesn't feel like that it. It feels like "someone did it but we don't know who." And I like that. Mysteries are my favorite genre and true ones are even better.
