I read and watch a lot of true crime, so I'm surprised I'd never heard of this case. Sounds both heartbreaking and fascinating. The opening excerpt, though, felt a little scattered. We don't have a clear beginning, but instead jump around setting up what feels like family drama. Still, the writing itself is good and I'm intrigued.
