The book was definitely not what I expected. From the start it was showing the trials and thoughts of how someone whose more mature than their age acts. And how it’s annoying dealing with people who aren’t on that level.
But what made it stand out the most was its way of portraying an outside perspective of someone getting raped. Em was portrayed as someone who always had hope and was outspoken and someone who shielded the ones she loves to me. But the system broke her. Even though the event didn’t necessarily happen to her she still felt betrayed.
And even though this wasn’t even half the book I felt the really portrayed how life really is. How the world could be on your side and still fail. ....................................................................:......
