First of all, this cover is breathtaking.
First look wise, I was absolutely hooked from the poem at the very beginning. There is so much injustice within the sexual assault realm where men are able to get away with practically anything. The focus is always on the “man’s future”. What about the girls????
I think that this story, based on the first look, will shine a spotlight on these injustices and failures in the system while also throwing in side comments about the overwhelmingly patriarchal society we live in (for example, the read: cis-male indicating a “reliable” witness).
This is going to be a powerful one for sure.
