Unsure if this would be my kind of thing

I have mixed feelings about this book. At first I thought the entire story would be told in poetry as that has been a growing trend in YA novels as of late and the summary makes it seem as if this book will be the same. Though this story does open with a poem, it then goes into a short of traditional novel and no other poem is seen in the rest of the ~40 pages.
