This book deals with very heavy topics but I feel like it is executed in a good way for both the reader to feel safe and the characters the room to grow. Sometimes, when topics such as the one being introduced in the book is brought up, I feel like it is executed poorly and completely takes away from the plot, growth and development of not only the characters but the story itself. However, with the way this story is set up, it not only sounds extremely interesting but something that will make readers not able to stop thinking about it. Also, I am extremely interested to see how the medieval aspects plays a role into the story. I am a huge fan of medieval stories and it's incorporation into this emotional story sounds like it will complement it very well. Stories such as the one being experienced by Em happens too much in this world and to hear it from another point of view is extremely important as well.
