Overall I did like this sample. I had some problems with the heavy handedness of hate speach in the opening chapters. I think Em is a complex character and you can definitely tell she is a teenager based on her reactions to things. It will be interesting to see if and how she grows as a character throughout the book.
I would have liked it if Em's articles that were written for the Oracle were included in the book too. They would have further brought home the point about how traumatizing and difficult it is to get justice for rape victims.
I am interested to see how the medieval female knight, Margarette, influences Em's next choices. Also, whether that will bring her to bond with Jess and Summer.
