1 in 3. This number is constantly in the back of my mind. 1 in 3 women experience sexual violence. I think all females are aware of this shockingly high likelihood that we will experience this. Just as we are all aware of the things that society accepts as normal behavior from boys. This book could be described as mature or shocking, but I think it is something everyone should read. We all, male and female, need to face these horrid truths and change society. The Me Too movement happened years ago, and yet some males still having wandering hands, sexual violence is still horribly prevalent, and some still question if the girl was asking for it or the boy was simply mistaken. This book is amazingly written and confronts this topic in a haunting and thoughtfully written way and I am so excited to continue reading.
